Tejal and Kishan’s wedding was meant to be a garden wedding with beautiful blue skies, however the weather thought otherwise and thankfully our lovely bride planned for rain. So we had a garden wedding under a tent which was great. Instead of walking in with a song, Tejal walked in with beautiful tear jerker speech which she had pre-recorded. After that I think there were just as much tears under the tent as there was rain outside. Thankfully the skies cleared up perfectly leaving as with soft light and amazing puddles for reflections. January and February have been so crazy that we only posting January weddings now!
You only realize how far Pretoria is when you have to leave this early to get to Brides place. Karishma and Rushil got married at the Velmore wedding venue in Erasmia, Pretoria on the 15th January 2012. This was the first shoot of our upcoming 3 weddings in Pretoria. Karishma wanted a very classic feel for her couples shoot, only when we saw her look on the wedding day did we fully understand why. She wore a golden net outfit encrusted with millions of crystals. When we saw this we knew it was going to shoot perfectly against the classic buildings we found for her location. On the location shoot we had some great body guards. A special thank you goes out to all who assisted us on location. Venue: Velmore Hotel, Banquet & Conference Estate Make up and Hair : Manisha Decor: Chetna This was the last wedding of 2011 for us and guess what? It was a garden wedding. Trusha and Kishan's wedding took place at the lovely Memoire venue in Muldersdrift (the Cradle of Humankind). Indian weddings are such vibrant and colourful affairs that it makes complete sense to have the wedding ceremony outdoors as it enhances the colours in our images. The reception decor was soft and classic with a colour palette of cream, gold and a touch of red. The choice of flowers was simple and elegant. One of the pictures you must look at is the seekud in a wafer bowl, I thought this was such a fun idea. With regard to location choices, there are plenty to choose from when shooting in the area. For Trusha and Kishan we decided on a field of long grass and a beautiful road that reminded me of the narrow, lush streets that lead from one village to the next in Gujarat, India.
Decor: Chetna Waking up at 8am on a lazy December morning is definitely not the easiest of tasks. Yet my day was made when we were greeted at Priya’s house by the cutest little 2year old, he was just too adorable and full of hugs and kisses.:) Priya has one of the happiest smiles I’ve ever shot. The one thing that stood out for me at this wedding was the choice of music. I absolutely loved it (and no I'm not being biased) and we all admired the courage it must have taken to play it. Yes people, Alternate rock music at Indian wedding isn’t the easiest thing to get parents to agree too. The wedding was simple and personal, as for the couple they were totally caught up in the moment which was rather cute. Just before we went out for our couple shoot on location it rained buckets (literally!) Mits was rather concerned it wasn’t going to stop but as the saying goes ‘every cloud has a silver lining’. The rain cleared up and left us with an amazing sunset, typically made only by passing storms. more images |
